About UTiliX-CO
UTiliX-CO (pronounced - U til lek ko) was founded in 2004 by Kevin Weaver. Back then he owned an independent insurance brokerage firm operating out of St. Louis, MO. During the early 2000's, many companies began to realize the advantages of having online advertising via a company website. So, he decided to have a decent website built in order to advertise the company's services on the most popular search sites.
Kevin contacted close colleagues to get referred to the best web building services. After meeting with several web builders and developers and receiving their estimates, he quickly discovered that creating a web site was a lot more complicated than simply ordering a pizza .... and was a great deal more expensive.
The lowest bid for a five page site was just shy of $2,500. With no guarantees, no examples, no ad writing and required a lengthy service contract. So, the decision to build a more affordable online presence was a no-brainer. The problem was it too many months, and man hours to finally publish the site. However, through hard-work and persistence a new process was designed that reduced the average build time (for a 5 page site) to just 10 hrs.
